What a HOOT
This picture is a HOOT (pun intended)! It also preaches! You might need to zoom in to see all the debris on the deck.
A dear friend and her husband came to visit us last week, and during their visit, we had a bit of a squirrel situation. This squirrel kept nibbling on nuts and then throwing them onto our deck. It was quite a comical sight, except to Tom.
Our friend suggested that we get some fake owls to scare off the squirrel, as it had worked for them. Without hesitation, my dear husband ordered three fake owls from Amazon, and the largest one is in the picture. Unfortunately, as you can see from the debris, it doesn't seem to be very effective at all.
As I glanced out this morning and saw the fake owl perched there, it got me thinking. How often do we put our trust in something or someone that is lifeless and fake? We move it around and make it appear real, but deep down, it's still ineffective. It made me question myself - am I truly genuine in my beliefs, or am I just pretending?
Am I lifeless and fake?
It's an important reflection for me, and I believe it's crucial for all of us who want to make a godly impact in the world. I want to be sincere in my faith and impactful for Christ and I pray the same for you. Let's continue to encourage and support each other in our faith and strive to make a godly difference in the world around us. There's so much that we can do right in our own communities! Keep up the good and godly work.
Hugs.
