We the people!
Sweet friends, there is a lot of hating on America these days — by Americans. This should not be. Sure, we can hate things that are happening. We can disagree with politics. We can even disagree with each other. But we must not forget these are privileges. Privileges men and women died defending.
When we hate on America we dishonor them and each other. When we hate on America, we hate on each other. Why would we do that? America isn’t about a political party or individual rights — it’s about we the people. Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. An ideal we collectively should strive for every single day.
The one thing that should unite us all.
How I thank God for the brave men and women that died for me — for us so that we can enjoy the privilege of being American.
Let’s put on hearts of gratitude every day. Let’s count our blessings day by day. Let’s stop hating on each other. Freedom is not a given. Freedom is not free.
If you have family or friends who have died for us, please share their names in the comments so we can say thank you for your sacrifice on our behalf.
Hugs and love!
