Window washing?

If you look closely, you’ll see our windows need a good cleaning. From my vantage point, I see dust and pollen clinging due to the elements.

It reminds me of my heart before the Lord. Each morning. If I’m willing to take a close look, the Lord will show me what elements I have clinging to me. Just as dirty windows need a good cleaning, so does my heart. You see, things I’ve seen, heard, thought, said … all impact my heart because they often influence my thinking/behavior. Daily time with the Lord and in His Word cleanses me. It’s also like a daily shower that rinses off the everyday dirt and grime of life. To believe I do not need to be daily washed in God’s Word is foolishness. Going several days and I stink!

In His Word, there is always something to learn or relearn! Sometimes, I can relate it to current circumstances. Other times I see and better understand what has past. Always, I am reminded of His great worth and why I need…no want…to always keep my heart open to Him.
