Sunday Schooling!

Sunday Schooling!

I know they don’t call it Sunday School anymore, but it’s still Sunday School to me because I always learn new things from God ‘s Word. We are in Acts 13 and our teacher, an x-pastor brings such rich insights. Then we get to go to church where we worship and our pastor is currently teaching in Genesis! We also started attending a Bible Study here at Montereau on Wednesday afternoons taught by a 94 year old x-surgeon who has been teaching God’s Word verse by verse for decades. Boy, is he sharp! He’s teaching through 1 John. Then on the last Sunday of the month we have the precious privilege of meeting with a young couple (family) where we study 1 Timothy inductively! Finally, I’m reading through the Bible this year using the Bible recap.

So why am I telling you all this? So you can say look at me? Aren’t I the religious one? Heavens no! I’m sharing declaring you never get too old to learn and can never plumb the depths of God’s Word! Gods ways are so not mine and if I’m not reminded over and over and over again of who He is, what I’m called to be and how I am to behave, I wander.

Yes, even after all these years, and all this learning/studying, I am prone to wander. But God—providing so many opportunities to draw near to Him.

Sure, sometimes I’m tired or don’t have the right attitude or … but I keep pressing on, committing, searching, surrendering because being in His Word is how I get and stay close to Him, my Lord.

How about you?

But God...
