God has entrusted us with the power to change the world. That is because He empowers His Word to do His will (Isaiah 55:11) and intends every believer to “go therefore and make disciples…teaching them to obey all that (Jesus) has commanded (us)” (Matthew 28:19,20).
In 1999, I answered a call from God to Lead Forward in her community, I found the example needed in the book of Nehemiah! I too was grieved over the lives of those around me that were in great distress. In studying Nehemiah, I discovered timeless leadership principles that I would need to lead forward.
In founding Truth for Women, the early versions of Leading Forward were written to help identify leaders and develop future leaders. Years later, I would have an opportunity to further develop Leading Forward with the Precept Ministries as a tool to help recruit and enlist leaders across the country in order to grow the Ministry’s impact on people.
I’ve walked through these materials with hundreds of some of the the most amazing group of leaders. I am forever grateful for each and every one and how they helped to develop me as a leader as well as further develop this current verion of Leading Forward! Thank you, thank you.
While my “wall” looks very different today than years past, I still find Nehemiah energizes, inspires and motivates me to “stay up o the wall.”
In 2022, I moved to Oklahoma where I live with my husband of 47 years! I continue to study and lead Bible studies locally and online. My happy place! Join me.
God’s people are in a distressing situation. Consider the fact that we are living in a post-Christian society. How did we get here? What is my role in getting us here? More importantly, what can we do as individuals to change our society?
Lead Forward.
To accomplish this God-sized task or mission, we need to develop strong leaders who are called by God, sold out to the same mission and vision, and who are ready and able to put their hand to the work. This solid leadership structure will allow you to mobilize a team to accomplish your God-given mission and realize His vision.
Leading Forward is designed to help individuals answer the following questions:
Am I called by God to a specific mission(s)?
Am I committed to the mission, and do I fully understand the level of commitment required to accomplish the mission?
Do I see clearly the God given mission and vision?
Provided with the proper resources, can I passionately cast this mission and vision?
Do I understand how important it is to commission others to join their hand to the work of God and how unity comes from working toward the common God-given goal?
Have I fully grasped the importance of consecrating my life and work to God?
Since this is a supernatural work requiring supernatural abilities, am I aware there will be a conspiracy against me to stop me from accomplishing the work?
Am I combat ready, and do I have a battle plan?
How will I put my confidence in God alone and not in my strength, ability, or that of others?
Will being convicted and changed through the Word of God by the Holy Spirit of God be a habit of my life?
