I need these!

I need these!

Let’s put on our rose colored heart glasses!

Google says this: “The phrase suggests a tendency to see things in a favorable light, often to the point of being naive or unrealistic.”

But as I read Colossians 3, I see putting on my rose colored glasses as an attitude and act of obedience. Seeing things in a favorable light is neither naive or unrealistic. It’s a beautiful, intentional and biblical way to live!

Seriously, if we as lovers of Jesus “put on” all listed below the world and people in it would be the most beautiful color of rose! I can’t see all the haters when I have my love glasses on!

“…put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. In addition to all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:12(b)-17

“So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. In addition to all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Colossians 3:12-14
