Sticky Notes!

Sticky Notes!

My team-mate has a really cool feature on her computer called Sticky Notes.  I love it because I always need to remind myself to do something. Using real sticky notes can get tricky.  Why?  Because they really are sticky and somehow end up getting stuck on the back of something and well...there goes my reminder!  Now, I just need to remember to get that really cool sticky note feature for my computer.

As I was listening to the Bible this past week, God got my attention when He talked about reminders and remembering.  He said:

“This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations;I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.“It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, and I will rememberMy covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.“When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” Genesis 9:12-16

The rainbow is a reminder to God. Isn’t that interesting? Now, let me clarify that God does not

forget and certainly doesn't need to be reminded of anything.  But, He put the rainbow there as a reminder.  It strikes me that the rainbow is a sticky note of sorts - A big, bold reminder!  A sign and a reminder to God and to us of His faithfulness to His covenants or promises.  It's also a reminder of the truth about what happened and why.  Don't you just love this?  God not only has recorded and preserved for us the truth about the "days of Noah" and the flood but in the account, He also shares from His heart. I've been so deeply moved. Oh, you just have to listen.

Oh yeah, remind me to tell you what I've learned about the Nephilim. Oh, my!
